(one assumption made here that RJR jumps Providence due to their win against a strong team and Prov playing West meck. SO you could flip flop them for now if you want)

Crazy night in the CPC last night...

West Forsyth v RJR went to penalties (West won 5-3 after a 3-3 regulation and OT draw)

Reagan v East Forsyth also went to penalties (Reagan won 9-8 after a 1-1 regulation and 2-2 OT draw)

RJR and Reagan sitting at 6-2 in conference with East in 3rd at 5-3 and West in 4th at 4-4.

Reagan plays West this week and RJR plays East.

do you know if they will play a 3rd game for the 1 seed if they both win out or are their other tiebreaking rules in conference play?

I have no inside knowledge, but I cannot see an extra game being played. Would love to know the tie breaker rules for the conference.

Goal difference?
Goals scored?
Goals conceded?

All would favor RJR going into the last week, but who knows what the actual rule is? RJR and Reagan drew twice but each has a loss on their record because CPC goes to penalties to decide a "contest winner". Yet other conferences can end in draws it seems? Makes no sense to me.

Next week's Providence at South Meck game could cause a lot of shifting. They tied 1-1 at Providence earlier. If Prov wins or ties it won't be too much of a shakeup. If South Meck wins they will get the conference #1 but likely to be the 4, 5 or 6th seed overall. Prov would likely be the top conference runner up and fall to #8. Any other games like that? Lots of potential shifting. I love this time of year.

Some conferences go to comparing conference wins if there is a tie. So it could come down to who lost to the weakest in conference team essentially

Just got word that first tie breaker is h2h then the winner of any game played in the non-conference portion of the schedule. RJ Reynolds beat Reagan in the Forsyth Cup at the beginning of the year so they would get the top seed spot from the CPC should both schools win out.

East forsyth beat RJR in PKs so now Reagan will be the 1 seed from that conference. I will update brackets once new rankings are out.

Providence also beat South meck to wrap up their conference. THey could jump hough to the 1 seed overall in west. Depends on the whole strength of schedule thing.

Hough had a 10-1 win vs vance which does nothing for their SOS and then beat 32 ranked mallard creek tonight 9-0 on mallard creeks senior night (first game was 2-1).

Hard to know how the maxpreps gurus will handle all of that
